Samsung Battery Optimization.

Android 11

On Android 11, Samsung will prevent apps work in background by default unless you exclude apps from battery optimizations. This is a severe divergence from standard Android process management policies. To keep your apps working properly make sure you enable:

  1. Settings -> Apps, then select QePon app.
  2. QePon app -> Battery.
  3. Battery -> Battery optimization.
  4. Settings -> Switch to All apps listing.
  5. Find QePon app, then switch off the battery optimization.

Future OS updates might reset these adjustments, and you might have to perform the steps listed above again. QePon ready to use in Samsung Devices.

Android 10

Samsung’s are unique and have two battery settings to take care of – “Put app to sleep” and “Optimize battery usage.”

Excluding QePon from the “Put app to sleep” setting:

  1. Open “Settings” and tap “Device care.”
  2. On the Device care page, tap the “Battery” option.
  3. On the Battery page, tap “Battery usage.”
  4. In the Battery Usage list, find “QePon” and tap it.
  5. Make sure the “Put app to sleep” toggle switch is in the off position.

Excluding QePon from the “Optimize battery usage” setting:

  1. Open “Settings” and select “Apps” from the menu.
  2. Choose “QePon” from the list of all apps.
  3. Find “Battery” from the menu.
  4. Tap “Optimize battery usage” from the menu.
  5. Choose “Apps not optimized” and from the drop-down, tap “All.”

  2. Set all switches to the “off” position in the “App power management” section, but leave the “Notification” switch “on”.

  4. Set the “Optimize settings” switch in the “Settings power optimization” section to the “off” position.

Android 7

If you experience problems with push notifications on a Samsung device running Android 7, please perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Power saving mode”, and turn off “Power saving mode” (or adjust the MID saving mode to enable background data usage).
  2. Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > … > Advanced settings” and turn off “App power monitor”.
  3. Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Battery usage > … > Optimise battery usage”, select “All apps” in the drop-down menu, and set the switch next to “QePon” to “off”
